Bake nuts in a pre-heated 350F/180C oven for 5 to 8 minutes or until they are golden brown
Combine butter and sugar until creamy.
Sift the flour and salt into the butter mixture and stir to combine. Add the almonds and chocolate chips.
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill.
Use a rolling pin to roll it out. Cut the dough out into rounds or squares.
Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 15 minutes so the dough can firm up.
Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes.
