Irish Penny Loaf/Buns

Ingredients

Milk  Water Active Dry Yeast Flour Sugar Salt Cinnamon Butter Egg Yolk Dried/Candied Fruit

Step 1

In the mixing bowl, whisk the dry ingredients then add the egg yolk and yeast mixture.

Step 2

Knead until it becomes a soft slightly sticky dough.

Step 3

Place the dough in a bowl, cover and let rise until doubled in bulk.

Step 4

Punch the dough down, flatten and spread with the candied fruit.

Step 5

Knead to distribute the fruit.

Step 6

Form the dough into 6 buns or 1 loaf, cover and let rise until doubled in bulk.
