Italian Castagnole

Step 1

In a large bowl whisk together the dry ingredients then add the egg, sugar, zest & vanilla, mix together with a fork.

Step 2

Mix until almost combined.

Step 3

Knead to form a soft dough, wrap it in plastic and let rest  30 minutes.

Step 4

Roll the dough into small walnut size balls.

Step 5

Once they have been fried,  let cool a few seconds, then roll in sugar. They can  also be baked.
