Italian Sponge Cake
Step 1
In a large bowl or stand up mixer bowl add the eggs and sugar.
Step 2
Beat the eggs and sugar for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Gently fold half the sifted flour at a time into the beaten eggs.
Step 4
Fold until smooth and completely combined.
Step 5
Pour into prepared pan.
Step 6

Step 7
Let the cake cool then use it to make a layer cake or dust with powdered sugar and serve as a snack or breakfast cake.
