Double Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie
Double Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie, an easy Cast Iron cookie recipe, stuffed with melted dark chocolate. Top with ice cream so delicious.

- 1 cup butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 3 1/2 ounces dark chocolate (melted) (or milk chocolate if you prefer)
Lightly grease cast iron skillet.
In a medium bowl whisk together flour, baking soda and salt.
In a large bowl beat butter until creamy, then add the sugars, eggs and vanilla and beat to combine.
Add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture and mix with a spatula or wooden spoon, then mix in the chocolate chips. Combine into a firm dough and wrap with plastic, refrigerate for 15 - 20 minutes.
While dough is in the fridge, pre-heat oven to 350°.
Remove from the fridge and place half the mixture on the bottom the skillet (10 inch skillet), top with the melted chocolate and cover with the remaining cookie dough.
Bake for approximately 20 minutes. Let cool or eat warm, top with vanilla ice cream if desired. Enjoy!
