*If you use unsalted butter then add 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
Room temperature, remove from the fridge 45-60 minutes before using.
Instructions
Pre heat oven to 350 degrees (180 degrees) and grease and flour or spray a 9x13 inch (22x33 cm) baking pan.
In a small bowl whisk together the flour and salt, set aside.
In a medium bowl over a pot of boiling water (or microwave) melt the chocolate squares, then add the butter and stir until melted and smooth, cool slightly, then add the sugar and mix to combine then add the well beaten eggs and combine, next add the vanilla and mix.
Add the flour mixture to the chocolate mixture, and combine well, but don't over mix. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for approximately 30-35 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar or maybe serve with a little vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
Notes
If you wish to add chopped nuts or even chocolate chips (about 1 cup / 140 grams) they can be whisked together with the flour and salt. After about 28 minutes stick a toothpick in the centre of the brownies, if there is still wet batter on the toothpick, they need more time. If there are moist crumbs on the toothpick, the brownies are down.
