In a medium to large bowl add the cream, milk and sugar beat on medium speed for 20 seconds.
Pour the mixture into your gelato maker (using a spatula be sure to pour in all ingredients), when gelato is almost done (mine took about 15 minutes) add the Nutella and chocolate chips, continue with the ice cream maker until reached desired creaminess. See the instructions on your ice cream maker, in total mine took 30 minutes. Transfer the mixture to a freezer safe container. If needed freeze for a couple of hours to firm up. Enjoy!
Notes
Fine or Caster sugar is slightly finer and dissolves more easily than regular granulated sugar. You can substitute it at a 1 for 1 basis or you can make your own fine sugar just by blending granulated sugar until fine.Homemade ice cream / gelato should be kept in the freezer, in an airtight container. Apparently glass or stainless steel are the best containers to use. It will keep for at least one week in the freezer.
