1cupbutter (I use salted butter) cut into small cubes
*If using unsalted butter then add 1 tablespoon of salt.
EASY CHEDDAR BISCUITS
2cupsbisquick mix
1cupcheddar cheese (or cheese of choice)
½cup+ 2 tablespoons of milk
Instructions
HOMEMADE BISCUIT MIX
In a large bowl whisk together flour, baking powder and salt until well combined, cut in butter and mix until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
CHEDDAR BISCUITS
Pre-heat oven to 425F/220C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl mix together the biscuit mix and cheese, add the milk and mix just until the flour has been combined, it will be lumpy. Drop by heaping tablespoons onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
Bake for approximately 8-12 minutes or until the biscuits are a golden brown. Serve warm or room temperature. They can be brushed with melted butter before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
Store homemade bisquick made with butter in an airtight container or mason jar in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.For longer storage, place in a freezer safe container and store frozen for up to 3 months or 4 months.
