Butter Granulated Sugar Brown Sugar All Purpose Flour Salt Egg Yolks Vanilla Chocolate Kisses

Step 1

Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg yolks and vanilla extract.

Step 2

Sift in the flour and combine until the dough comes together. Move the dough to a flat surface and gently knead to form a compact dough.

Step 3

Roll dough into balls then roll in granulated sugar. Place on a baking sheet and make an indentation with your thumb.

Step 4

Bake until golden. At the halfway point reindent the cookies, then again when removed from the oven if needed.

Step 5

Immediately place a chocolate kiss in the center of each cookie. Cool completely before removing to a wire rack.
