his consists of a pasta dish, like this Creamy Mushroom Ham Pasta, a main course (Fish, Meat, Fritatta or Cheese plate) with a vegetable, could be a salad, a Sauteed Vegetable or even Roasted Vegetables, which I have to say everyone loves, but of course it also depends on what veggie is in season.
There are times when I have things that have to be done (like a blog for instance) and I take it down to the wire. So today I decided to make this Creamy Mushroom Ham Pasta, quick and tasty dish. This amazing pasta recipe has it all vegetables, meat and dairy.
This Creamy Pasta dish was made by my sister-in-law quite a few years ago, sometimes I would go for lunch and notice nothing cooking and needless to say I would become a little worried.
“What no food”? But of course this amazing pasta was whipped up in 20 minutes. Fast and simple, only 4 ingredients! Creamy Mushroom Ham Pasta needs to be served immediately after cooking, because you want it to remain creamy.
This is a perfect weeknight, or even weekend meal. Great for family get togethers or when you are invited people for dinner.
Deliciously creamy works wonderfully with a side salad and a light dessert. Buon Appetito!
Creamy Mushroom Ham Pasta
Creamy mushroom and ham pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/4 cups chopped mushrooms
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley or 3 or 4 sprigs fresh
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup chopped ham
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 3 cups cooked short pasta
- In a large frying pan add olive oil, mushrooms, parsley, oregano, salt and water, cook almost covered on medium heat, stirring occasionally till mushrooms are cooked and water has almost evaporated.(about 10-15 minutes). While mushrooms are cooking boil and cook pasta al dente (I used fusilli pasta). Once mushrooms are cooked add ham mix together, then add cream, flour and cook on medium high heat, stirring constantly until thickens, add pasta, toss gently and serve immediately with freshly grated parmesan cheese if desired.
